William Cuddihy

William joins SPARC with a wealth of both elite and amateur sports experience. He graduated from the physiotherapy masters programme in UCD and previously graduated from University of Limerick having studied the BSc. in Sport and Exercise Sciences.  William has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation. He was privileged to work in a number of professional rugby roles in Ireland (Munster Rugby) and in New Zealand (Chiefs). 

Along with working in private practice, William also worked with the Offaly Senior Gaelic Football Team for the 2017 season and the Professional Squash Association as official tournament physiotherapist for a number of international tournaments, including the 2017 Women's World Championships. At a more local level, William has worked with VHI at a number of ParkRun events across the country providing physiotherapy assistance for runners, as well as at the Dublin Marathon (2016) and Dublin Mountain Challenge (2016,2017). 

William gained his first experience in strength and conditioning in New Zealand with the Chiefs Super Rugby Team. From here, William got a job with Munster Rugby as part of the strength and conditioning team with the senior squad. His roles during this time included player monitoring, recovery strategies, and conditioning for players returning from injury. William has also worked with a number of amateur athletes and teams including Cork Constitution R.F.C and Dicksboro GAA, his local GAA club in Kilkenny.

This experience has helped William to assist injured athletes by making sure they are training at an appropriate level during their rehabilitation.
