Almost everyone will develop OA as they age but it can even affect younger populations in rare cases. OA in itself is not curable but your symptoms can be lessened greatly to allow an improvement in your quality of life. Symptoms may worsen from time to time - sometimes for no obvious reason - but with a suitable approach, you can remain as active as your peers without issues.

Primary versus Secondary Headache

Headache is the symptom of pain anywhere in the region of the head or neck. There are a number of different classification systems for headaches. The most well-recognized is that of the International Headache Society.

There are more than 200 types of headaches and the IHS have laboriously developed a diagnostic classification, the ICHD3, in order to help healthcare practitioners in this field identify and treat the appropriate headache condition.

We are delighted to welcome William Cuddihy to SPARC. William joins SPARC with a wealth of both elite and amateur sports experience across a number of sports including athletics, rugby, GAA and squash.  He was privileged to work in a number of professional rugby roles in Ireland (Munster Rugby) and in New Zealand (Chiefs).
